Pro’s membership fee comprises of the parts of the union, the association and the unemployment fund. Pro’s representatives decide on these parts annually so that the union’s part is in balance with the union’s activities. The membership fee for 2014 is confirmed by the autumn 2013 representative assembly.
The part of the unemployment fund is confirmed by the Financial Supervisory Authority according to allowances paid during the previous year as well as the fund’s financial situation. The unemployment fund’s part in 2013 is 9 Euros per month (included in the overall membership fee). Further information on the fund fee is available in the fund’s rules in Prokassa.fi.
Membership fees in 2013
The membership fee is 1.2 % of the member’s taxable income, which also includes fringe benefits, additional holiday pays and compensations as well as wages during period of notice. All income that pension and social security contributions are paid of is seen as income.
The membership fee is a minimum of 9 Euros and a maximum of 46,20 Euros per month. If wages exceed 3,750 Euros per month, the membership fee in 2013 is the above-mentioned 46,20 Euros per month. The members must monitor the correctness of the withdrawal of membership fees. Excess of paid membership fees is not returned.
If wages are under 750 Euros per month, the membership fee is 9 Euros. If a member has not paid enough membership fees, the remainder is collected. Membership to union and unemployment fund can be cancelled if membership fees have not been paid in full.
Pro’s student members’ membership fee in 2013 is 1.2 % of taxable income, however a maximum of 46,20 Euros per month and a minimum of 9 Euros per month. The membership fee is paid once a month for those months when income is received, other membership months are free of charge (notification of exemption from membership fees must be made).
