This is how you benefit from your membership

Collective agreement

Collective agreement is a significant membership benefit. You will earn more, because Trade Union Pro's collective agreements include, for example, agreements on shift differentials, travel-time allowances, sick pay, maternity leave pay, holiday bonus, and on-call allowance.

We offer you protection against arbitrary terminations and layoffs, since Pro's collective agreements state the measures to be taken in case of termination of employment.

Legal services

Trade Union Pro negotiates its members' employment-related disagreements, represents them in court, and safeguards its members' benefits in preparing acts that are important for wage-earners.

Employee counselling

Pro's employee counselling provides assistance for its members by phone in questions concerning working life and employment. Counselling service is available from Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 4 pm at +358 9 1727 3442.

Labour protection

Pro promotes its members' physical and emotional wellbeing, prevention of accidents, and labour protection at work. The Union acts in co-operation with local and national authorities and organisations in order to develop occupational safety.

Equality work

Working for improving equality is an essential part of our supervision of interests. Pro promotes equality in working life and supports combining work and family life. The Union offers equality training and ensures that its collective agreements are gender-neutral.

Influencing

Pro aims to influence the legislative proposals important for its members, and, for example, educational, industrial, and environmental policies.

International operations

Internationality is part of Pro's activities in supervision of interests. In international professional secretariats Pro develops together with trade unions from other countries the global supervision of interests of wage-earners.

Research activities

Pro's working life research produces information on clerical employees and their work for the supervision of interests and members.
