On Friday 26th of October three Finnish Trade Union Confederations SAK, STTK and AKAVA have informed that the Finnish Government’s new formatting to ease small companies in situations of individual dismissals gives reasonable conditions to abort ongoing overtime bans and withdraw already announced political strikes on next week.

Confederations stated a precondition that the rationale of Government’s new formatting of the bill need to be prepared in tri-partite procedure.

As all the political labour actions have been done by the several unions, the decision of abortions needs to be done similar way. Finnish unions, as Trade Union Pro, have made decisions and published abortions of the labour actions in the evening of Friday 26.10.

Trade Union Pro’s Executive Committee follows closely the progress of the situation and makes necessary steps in due time. Prime Minister Juha Sipilä have informed this evening that Government will call labour parties to finish the rationale of Government’s new formatting to change grounds of individual dismissal in small companies.

Government’s new formatting doesn’t anymore contain an exact number of the workers but emphasis that the size of the company should be considered. Trade Union Confederations have informed that there are still doubts in formulation but are willing to try to find the solution in tri-partite procedure.
