The statutory duration of full-time employment is 40 hours per week. In a collective agreement, the weekly working hours of full-time work can also be shorter.
The benefits of part-time employees should not be less than those of full-time employees. The benefits can, however, be proportionate to working hours.
If a workplace needs to increase labour force, the work must primarily be offered to a part-time employee wishing to work full-time.
